Bouquet as Person

2007 - present

Bouquet as Person are still-life paintings in the traditional sense, but also self-portraits in a psychological sense. Using color, shape, line and subconscious mark making, these paintings often evolve into personal vignettes of insecurity, shame, self-doubt and/or reflection engaging the viewer in a conversation about the subjective and objective motivations behind giving and receiving floral bouquets.
